Getting customers to your site should always be prioritized as high as the level of quality and the integrity of the product and the services you provide.

They should go seamlessly in providing your customers the satisfaction they get in exchange for the money they have paid for them. Customer service should be equal to the product or service you offer so that your customers are assured of a positive experience.

We’re sure you’ve heard the expression, “The money’s in the list”. One of the ways you can integrate marketing and customer service is through opt-in marketing. With an opt-in list, you create a means to create a relationship with your subscribers, which in turn develops Know, Like & Trust. Through your list you will be able to introduce your site and products over a period of time.
Opt-in marketing, also known as List Building, is a marketing strategy that is cost effective. When a visitor opts in, you have their consent to subscribe to your newsletters and other promotional materials such as catalogs and free promotions.

The beauty of offering an opt-in newsletter or subscription is that you are communicating with those that have sought you out. You are generating your own lead list for free, instead of paying for overused and out of date leads from a vendor (yeah, we did that for a long time too!)Opt-in marketing creates your list of subscribers to send e-mail to. These e-mails will contain the information you will share with your subscribers. It is critical that you present your promotional items in a manner that will catch the attention of your subscribers to keep them wanting for more. One of the best ways to keep your subscribers engaged is to provide interesting, relevant and informational articles.

Well written articles packed with relevant content and helpful information will be a key factor in building your list, as more subscribers will be attracted to your site. You can allow access to your archives and if your content has value, people will be eager to find out more. Subscribing to your newsletter will offer them the opportunity to automatically be kept informed.

Many webmasters and businesses have realized the importance of articles and how articles aid in search engine optimization. As more people turn to the internet for their information needs, providing the right information, in the form of articles, on your site will increase the amount of your website traffic. Increased traffic results in a larger target audience, therefore increasing the percentage of your sales. More sales equals more profit.

There has been an increased demand for well written, informative and keyword packed articles for site content in addition to newsletters. These articles provide the information many are seeking on the internet. If your site offers valuable content, more people will be visiting your site for information and research.

Well written articles will enhance your site’s reputation, adding to the Know, Like & Trust Factor. You will be thought of as well informed and an expert on the subjects that you discuss. Your articles should reflect your due diligence, increasing your trust factor. Once you have earned that trust, your subscribers will continue to seek out your expertise on that subject.

To make this work for you, you must create articles on topics that are closely connected with your type of business or your passion. For example, if you have a web site for a weight loss product, your articles must be about weight loss. If you sell materials for crafts, publish articles with crafts in mind, perhaps a “how to” craft of the week. Most articles are searched using keywords such as tips, guidelines, methods, manuals, how to, etc. Providing these types of articles to your subscribers results in paying customers because not only will they go to your site for help and advice, they will want to buy what you’re selling.

Relevant article content creates loyalty among your customers; they may subscribe to your opt-in list to receive all the information you have. If you give them the answers they are seeking, they will gladly receive your newsletters as well as other promotional materials to keep them up to date. Others may even forward your newsletters to other like minded people when they find a certain article interesting, creating a viral effect.

Remember to utilize links in your email newsletter so when other people are reading it and want to get additional information, they can click through and go to directly to your site. Implementation of relevant content on your web site will create an incentive to sign up as well for your opt-in list. This will grow your subscriber base.

Make sure to keep your subscribers happy and interested in your newsletters and promotional materials. Continue to publish good content for your site and newsletter. Remember to put your emphasis on providing useful and relevant information to your subscriber base rather then constantly selling your products. If all you are doing is promoting your products, you will burn out your list and you’ll either see people unsubscribe or simply delete your emails without opening them. If you are not interested in writing them or if you just don’t have the time, there are many available well experienced and knowledgeable writers available to help you out as well as a number of websites that can provide you with good content to create your own.
